Home Health services provided by
Cumberland Valley District Home Health Agencies reduce unnecessary
institutionalization through the provision of intermittent health care and
health related services to individuals in their place of residence. Services
are provided by nurses, home health aides, physical therapists, speech
therapists, social workers, and occupational therapists.
All medically related home care is provided in accordance with
the physicians orders and plan of care.
In addition to traditional Home Health Services, recipients of
Kentucky Medical Assistance can access Home and Community Based Waiver
Services. This program provides cost-effective alternatives to institutional
care. Services may include assessment/reassessment and case management;
personal care; homemaker services; respite care and minor home modifications.
Home Care assessment, case management,
personal care, home health aide and respite services may be provided to
eligible persons over the age of 60 along with referrals to Senior Citizens
agencies for home delivered meals, escort, homemaker, chore and additional
respite services.
